Motorcyclist dies after three-vehicle crash on A249 near Sittingbourne

A motorcyclist involved in collision on the A249 has died, police have revealed.

The crash occurred yesterday on the north-bound carriageway near Danaway near Sittingbourne at around 3.20pm.

Three vehicles were involved: a grey BMW, a blue Vauxhall and a Harley Davidson motorbike.

Police, paramedics and the air ambulance attended, but the biker, a man in his 50s, died at the scene.

He has not yet been named.

Both carriageways of the A249 and the M2 J5 slip road were closed for several hours during the emergency.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for witnesses and for anyone who has dashcam footage, to contact them.
